Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution must be original and unprecedented, and cannot be in the process of being evaluated by another journal.
  • Submissions in Portuguese, Spanish, and English are accepted. For Portuguese and Spanish submissions, translation into English is mandatory after revision and final acceptance by the Journal, ensuring bilingual publication in accordance with RBGeomorfologia's quality standards. The manuscript will only be published after the presentation of the English text. Submissions originally in English are exempt from the translation requirement. Upon acceptance by the editors, authors must provide a translation certificate before the final publication of the manuscript. Alternatively, authors may submit a letter or declaration indicating "proficiency in the English language." However, the editors may still request revisions before the final publication.
  • The abstract must be written in English and Portuguese and cannot surpass a maximum of 200 words. The full article cannot surpass 8000 words.
  • The correspondent author has to register all the authors (in the journal system) with the respective institutional affiliations and ORCID number in the manuscript submission process.
  • The content of the submitted manuscript is the sole responsibility of the author(s). The authors must declare not having any potential conflict of interest, including political and/or financial interests associated with patents or ownership, provision of materials and/or inputs and equipment used in the study by manufacturers.
  • Authors need to declare all sources of funding or support, institutional or private, for conducting the study.
  • In the case of studies conducted without institutional and/or private funding, the authors must declare that the research did not receive any funding for its realization.
  • The manuscript must follow the standards and bibliographic requirements described in the journal's template document. The bibliographical references need to be presented at the end of the paper, in alphabetical order of the author's last name, following the template examples below:
